Missile is an important weapon in the modern war,most of the new missiles have been used in infrared imaging guidance technology.Infrared Dome is one of the key components of the missile.Due to it's harsh environment.Therefore,the Dome must have good optical,mechanical and thermal properties.Because of sapphire' s properties is excellent,so it is making missile Infrared Dome ideal material.However,the low transmittance of sapphire is one of the main factors which to restrict its performance.Reducing the reflectance of sapphire dome surface is an effective way to enhance its performance.In order to improve the optical properties of sapphire dome,we study how to make infrared anti reflection film on sapphire substrate using vacuum coating technology.The main contents of this paper:Design medium wave infrared anti reflection film system on sapphire substrate surface.Make samples of the film system using(IAD)vacuum coating technology.Do environmental test and inspection for the samples by military standard.The results show that the performance of the sample meets the requirements of inspection,and mainly achieves the goal of theoretical design.The study showed that the samples of the film made by(IAD)vacuum coating technology is fairing with military standard.The thin film's optical properties,mechanical strength and stability are well;the application has some reference value.
