High pressure heater is important equipment used in back-heating system of large thermal power units.As the pressure is high and the weight is heavy,design by analysis is usually needed to ensure the safety and economy of the equipment.In this thesis,regarding the problem that the finite element analysis process of high pressure heaters is difficult and professional analysts are highly demanded,the technology for automatic numerical analysis and light-weight design of the equipment is studied.The main contents are as follows.(1)A parameterized finite element analysis model for a high pressure heater was established,which provided the basis for developing automatic strength analysis software of high pressure heaters.Meanwhile,the other processes for the numerical analysis are also parametrically performed including acquiring the stress intensity distribution at the equipment under the action of the tube-side pressure or shell-side pressure,stress linearization along paths at critical areas and stress categorization with strength assessment according to JB/T4732-1995 Steel Pressure Vessel-Design by Analysis.(2)On the basis of parameterization,by employing optimization module of ANSYS,optimization for the thickness of the tubesheet and tube-side head was performed,which is aimed to minimize the weight of the equipment under the condition that its strength meets the requirement by JB/T4732-1995 Steel Pressure Vessel—Design by Analysis.As a result,the thickness of the tubesheet is reduced by 13.3%from 660mm to 572mm and the thickness of the head is reduced by 14.4%from 125mm to 107mm.Obviously,a light-weight design is achieved for the high pressure heater.(3)In order to facilitate the finite element analysis of high pressure heaters,the software namely automatic strength analysis and light-weight design of high pressure heaters was developed by combining ANSYS APDL language and VB visual functions.With the software,structural modeling,stress analysis,result acquiring,and strength assessment can be carried out automatically.Tentative application of the software found that it is easy to operate and accurate in calculation and can significantly reduce the difficulty of numerical modeling of the high pressure heaters.
