With the rapid development of BIM Technology,it has become an important technical support for the transformation of construction industry in the wave of global information development,such as digital city,big data engineering,artificial intelligence and so on.The establishment of a perfect BIM standardization system with comprehensive will,advanced concept and technical feasibility will rely on global engineering technology and then to achieve industry digitalization.In the field of steel structure,it is difficult to express the complex structure form and node detail directly by traditional CAD graphic drawing.This problem can be solved skillfully by using the excellent features of BIM Technology,such as visibility,coordination,simulation,optimization,plotting,integration,parameterization,information completeness and so on.Secondary development technology is an important part of BIM Technology development process,which can meet the personalized needs of BIM related software users.This paper first summarizes the BIM Technology,investigates and understands the research and application status of BIM Technology at home and abroad,combine with the application and development situation of BIM Technology in the field of steel structure,summarize the problems,and carry out the secondary development for the detailed design of steel structure connection joints in advance steel and Revit.It is an active exploration of steel structure detailed design under the situation of building information that the corresponding secondary development work exhibition about the detailed analysis and the development test of relevant cases are carried out to realize the internal modeling of software and the parametric control of node model.
