With the rapid development of civil aviation and the increased number of busy airports,China's "one terminal,multiple airports" layout is becoming more common.Compared with the terminal area of a single airport,the airports in the multiple airport terminal area are densely distributed and the airspace structure is more complicated,if the sector division of the terminal area is unreasonable or the existing sector division does not adapt to the current surge in air traffic flow,the control workload between sectors will be uneven,the difficulty of air traffic control will increase,and the operation of the terminal area will reduce.Therefore,the reasonable division of airspace sectors can balance the control load between sectors,and at the same time,the on-time flight rate and utilization of airspace resources can be significantly improved.Based on the current research on the sector division of the terminal area,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the complexity of air traffic based on the characteristics of the airspace structure of the terminal area of multiple airports.Based on the principle of Voronoi diagram,the airspace of the terminal area is segmented,combined with the characteristics and principles of sector division,the constraints of sector division are determined,and the mathematical model of sector optimization for complex airspace is established under the goal of equalizing air traffic complexity.Then take Zhuhai terminal control area as an example,analyze the airspace structure,route distribution and traffic flow distribution in Zhuhai terminal control area to calculate the complexity value of each sector.The sector optimization model was used to optimize the sector of the Zhuhai terminal control area by using the branch definition method.Finally,the AirTOp rapid simulation software was used to verify the sectors before and after optimization,and the results of the simulation were compared to analyze the flight delays,flight conflicts,and air traffic control load in each sector before and after the terminal area.The complexity between the current sector partition and the optimized sector partition was compared to prove the feasibility of the method.
