As far back as the primitive era,humans began to use raw materials such as grass leaves,wood chips,and shells to package food.At that time,the main purpose of packaging was to preserve food.With the change of civilization,packaging has gone through tens of thousands of years of development history and has become the product of the common development of human material civilization and spiritual civilization.Packaging design reflects the characteristics of the times.At the same time,the development of the times also promotes the development of packaging design.With the rapid development of science and technology and the change of human spiritual needs,the demand for packaging is no longer limited to the functions of protection,storage,beautification,and transmission of basic information.The development of the digital information age has caused consumers to have more spiritual demands for packaging design.How to use new technologies to improve the multi-sensory "communication",visual experience and emotional experience of packaging and consumers is a common question for companies and designers in the digital information age,and it is also the main research content of this article.This article takes the research and application of augmented reality technology in packaging design as the subject.Through literature review,social questionnaires,data analysis and comparison,etc.,the development history of technology,application status,core technology,historical background of packaging design development,The social background,application background,and characteristics of the times were analyzed and analyzed,and the feasibility of using new technologies in packaging design was put forward.Based on this,a new design form of packaging in the digital information age,namely,"augmented reality packaging" was proposed.Design;through analysis of the development status of packaging and consumer demand analysis,put forward the basic design ideas to be followed in the construction of augmented reality packaging,that is,the key technology of augmented reality as the basis for the construction of new forms of packaging;In the construction of "",the morphological settings,flat image settings,sound settings,and dynamic informationdisplay settings of the augmented reality packaging were proposed;at the same time,the differential performance of the augmented reality packaging and traditional packaging was proposed according to the depth of the package,the comprehensiveness of the experience,and the display method;Packaged in the user body according to the new form Analysis of display content and market competition,and put forward the salient features of augmented reality packaging;Based on the analysis of consumer experience,display forms,salient features,and display content of packaging,propose augmented reality packaging in terms of user experience,product marketing,brand effects,and availability.Application value in sustainable development.Finally,research on consumer demand as the packaging design purpose,augmented reality technology as the packaging design technical means,packaging information as the design content,virtual and actual digital display as the packaging information display method,and smart mobile terminals as the packaging information display medium.Implementing the augmented reality packaging design practice of Qingdao specialty foods.
