Interactive design theory is one of the research directions of the emerging designart in recent years, whose development and application in the field of package designis now in its infancy. This theory applies emotional interactive experience into thefield of package design, seeking binding sites between interactive experience ofbehavior and interactive experience of reflection. Traditionally, the package design isto protect and accommodate merchandise or to wear suitable clothes for it. In thisprocess, little communication or a lower level of communication is produced betweenthe package itself and the customer. The interactive package proposes to think aboutthe relationship between the functional factor and the emotional factor, based on adeeper humanized reflection of traditional package. Goal-oriented package design inthe position to solve the problems, to respect and to meet the emotional needs of users,reflects the basic people-oriented design concept. Research and studies such as themeaning and purpose of interactivity in package design, the concept and principles ofinteractive package and the application status of interactive package roughly sketchthe present situation and the prospect of interactive design in current socio-economicconditions. In addition, through the case “BUTTON BOX”, the interactive experienceby participation is summed up into three aspects: life, publicity and communication,in order to discuss the psychology of customer in level of instinctive, behavior andreflection. Finally, the innovative meaning of interactive package concludes in fourpoints: firstly, to break the inherent form of traditional package and to combine theconcept of interactive design and modern package design in full consideration ofinteractivity, emotion, experience and other factors; secondly, to apply the mostadvanced package design theory and the latest technological achievements in order toshow the times and the forward-looking; thirdly, to combine knowledge of relateddisciplines and to make interdisciplinary design creation; fourthly, to follow the trendof today’s design field, to ensure on the basis of functional package, focusing onaesthetic factors that make the design work full of human spirit.
