China's auto industry is developing rapidly with great increase of auto possession.The shortage of fuel energy and the environmental pollution caused by its consumption are getting worse.Automotive lightweight design has become the primary goal of all automotive companies.The automotive suspension special shaped coil spring has the advantages of saving space and variable rigidity.Its application in the automotive industry is more and more extensive,and the prospects are very broad.And with the increasingly fierce competition in the auto industry and people's understanding of automobile safety and reliability is gradually improved.The accurate and reliable measurement and detection method of automobile suspension spring is gradually popularized,and more test equipment is also gradually developed with more and more perfect functions.However,due to the late development of its test equipment,most of the fatigue test equipments of automotive suspension spring are still for the standard cylindrical spring.There is no precedent for the fatigue test equipment of the irregular spring.Therefore,it is urgent to develop a new type of testing equipment for automobile suspension special-shaped spring.This paper mainly analyzes and studies the test requirements of the equipments,overall main frame structure arrangement,components design,electrical and software design,etc.The operation stability and reliability are verified by the test.Firstly,based on the special-shaped spring provided by a spring manufacturer,the geometric parameters are measured by measuring tools such as CMM.A three-dimensional mathematical model was established by using curvilinear equation modeling.The mathematical model is analyzed by CAE software.The electronic universal testing machine is used to test the special-shaped spring.The comparison between simulation results and test data shows that the modeling method is accurate.It can be used as a reference for the modeling of similar parts.At the same time,the motion simulation analysis of automobile suspension track is carried out to understand the motion law of automobile suspension special-shaped spring.Grasp the test requirements of the special-shaped spring.Secondly,refer to relevant information and previous experience in test equipment design after fully understanding the test requirements.The layout structure of the fatigue test equipment main frame is determined after calculation and simulation analysis.Use the four stations with cross symmetry layout structure.The structure can effectively make springs forces produced be absorbed by the opposite one in the reciprocating motion movement.That is to use the energy released by the loosen end to apply a load to the compression end.Effectively reduce the driving energy consumption of test equipment during fatigue test,especially for the long time fatigue test.Finally,the developed test equipment is tested and verified.The test equipment runs stably and reliably,and all functions are normal.So far,the test equipment has been running steadily for more than half a year.Achieve the ultimate goal of stable and reliable energy conservation and emission reduction.
