From the perspective of shipping companies,this paper studies the emergency management of shipping companies based on the hub-and-spoke shipping network in the event of a possible failure of the hub port.Considering the huge economic losses that may be caused to shipping companies due to the disruption of the route network caused by the failure of the hub port,this article mainly focuses on how to establish a hub-and-spoke marine network for the failure of the hub port,with a view to improvin g the stability of the entire route network While reducing their transportation costs.Firstly,by reviewing and analyzing the existing related research at home and abroad,the paper proposes a nonlinear 0-1 planning model applied to the spoke-and-spoke marine network.This model allows spoke port multiple allocation and multiple calls on hub-level routes.With the goal of minimizing transportation costs,the backup hub port is configured to ensure that the route network can still operate normally when the hub port fails.Secondly,the genetic algorithm is used to solve the model,and the encoding and decoding schemes and genetic operators are optimized in the algorithm,which improves the effectiveness and accuracy of the algorithm.After that,a case study was conducted based on the actual route data,and the feasibility of the model and algorithm was verified by analyzing the calculation results.Finally,based on the research results,it provides a reference construction strategy for shipping companies to design different axle-oriented marine network based on different scenarios.The following conclusions are obtained through the research in this paper:(1)Considering the problem of hub port failures in the construction of a hub-and-spoke marine network can help shipping companies promote the optimization of the route network,while improving its stability and reducing transportation costs.(2)The economies of scale will affect the construction of the hub-and-spoke marine network and its transportation costs.Shipping companies should take reasonable measures to maximize the use of economies of scale to reduce the transportation costs of marine networks.(3)When constructing a hub-and-spoke marine network,selecting a port with a lower probability of failure as a hub port can effectively enhance the stability of the route network and reduce its transportation costs.(4)When facing the problem of hub port failure,different shipping companies can reasonably adjust the construction strategy of the hub-and-spoke shipping network based on different goals and directions to reduce the impact of hub port failure.The research in this article has the following innovative results:(1)The nonlinear 0-1 programming model is applied to the research of hub-and-spoke marine network hub location,and the hub port failure scenario is considered in the model.The model reduces the transportation cost and improves the stability of the route network by configuring a backup hub port and changing the route of the ship route.(2)The genetic algorithm is used to solve and verify the mathematical model,and the encoding and decoding scheme and optimized genetic operator suitable for the proposed model are designed to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of the algorithm.(3)Application examples verify the effectiveness of the model and algorithm,and provide scenario-based strategies for shipping companies to establish a hub-and-spoke marine network through different scenarios.
