Informationization is the general trend of the development of the times and represents the advanced productivity.With the extensive and in-depth application of information technology in various economic activities and social life,the important production factors and strategic resources of information can be brought into play,so that people can more efficiently optimize the allocation of resources,so as to continuously promote industrial upgrading,improve social labor productivity and social operation efficiency.In many industries,the development of information technology in the power industry started early,and the overall level of construction and application is high.As a branch of the power industry,power generation information construction application has not only the above characteristics,but also gradually formed its own unique application mode based on the difference between its own power business and power grid business management.In thermal power,hydropower,nuclear power,wind power,solar energy and many other categories,hydropower enterprises have their own unique characteristics of diversity due to their regional,watershed,social and economic development level,technical level and many other factors.In this paper,from the perspective of competitive strategy,XJ company is selected as the research object,using PEST analysis,value chain analysis,SWOT analysis and other theoretical tools.First of all,from the macro point of view,analyze the relevant national policies,economic development,social culture,technological development and other environmental conditions,sort out the development process and information service status of China’s power generation enterprises,and in-depth analysis of the power generation enterprises information service industry competition environment.Secondly,from the micro perspective,this paper combs XJ’s own development process and operation status,analyzes the resources that can be mastered or mobilized,analyzes the core application capabilities,and then analyzes the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of XJ’s power generation enterprise information service business.Thirdly,on the basis of the comprehensive analysis of internal and external perspectives,based on its own comprehensive conditions,confirm the strategic positioning and competitive strategy selection of the information service business of power generation enterprises,and take this as the direction to clearly refine the implementation path,improve the safeguard measures,and explore the sustainable and effective competitive strategy of the information service business of power generation enterprises of XJ company.Through the analysis of the development trend and competition situation of the domestic power generation enterprise customer information demand,it can be said that the development of XJ power generation enterprise information service business is full of challenges and opportunities.After careful analysis and research,this paper draws the following main conclusions: first,in the current economic environment,the main market of information service business of power generation enterprises is concentrated in large power generation groups,and the degree of vertical integration application is high,although the restrictions of technical barriers are not obvious,but the experience effect and customer conversion cost are large,and it is difficult to enter the market.Second,XJ company has the advantages of After many years of operation,it has a large share in the field of pumped storage,formed local business advantages,and is more close to the production,operation and maintenance status of the widely existing small hydropower enterprises.It has a good foundation to convert good experience advantages into market expansion advantages.Moreover,small hydropower customers are highly price sensitive.XJ company should combine the development of high-quality customers GW company’s hydropower business and small hydropower The market segmentation of customer resources,based on the strategy of low-cost centralization,has steadily established its leading position in the information service business of small hydropower generation enterprises.
