The era of intelligence brought by the fourth wave of the industrial revolution has arrived.The pattern of the global industry is showing the development trend of new technological revolutions centered on new technologies such as artificial intelligence,big data,3D printing manufacturing,and new energy.The quality of talent training raises higher requirements.In order to better adapt to the development of the new economy with new industries,new technologies,new formats and new models as the core,it is necessary to accelerate the cultivation of a group of outstanding engineering and scientific talents who are adapting and leading a new round of technological revolution and industrial change.The essential nature of engineering is playing an increasingly important role in talent training,and practical teaching is receiving more and more attention from all walks of life.The advancement of the implementation of new engineering disciplines not only limits the practical ability of engineering students,but also involves comprehensive capabilities such as engineering thinking,cross-border integration,innovation and entrepreneurship,and communication and leadership.At present,the focus of China's engineering education practice teaching system is still based on the basic practical ability,neglecting the cultivation of comprehensive quality,so it is imperative to reconstruct China's engineering education practice teaching system.This article defines the three core concepts of colleges of engineering,practice teaching system,comparative study,based on the combination of education and production labor,comparative education theory,the concept of large engineering,and the CDIO educational philosophy.The five aspects of practical teaching objectives,practical teaching content and teaching method,practical teaching teacher team,practical teaching management mechanism,and quality assurance of practicalteaching are compared and researched in order to discover the advanced aspects of German engineering education practical teaching.Subsequently,with the Technical University of Berlin and the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences,and the domestic local science and technology colleges Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and Harbin University of Science and Technology as the research objects,the case study method and comparative analysis method were used to practice the specific links of the four universities.An in-depth analysis and comparison of the successful experience of German universities in practical teaching reveals the shortcomings of local universities in practical teaching.Finally,in light of China's specific national conditions and the experience of the German practical teaching system,it proposes suggestions for improving and updating the engineering teaching practice teaching system in local engineering colleges.
