As a kind of outdoor public space, the external space of the stadium serves as a transition space between the stadium and the city.On the one hand,it can be used as a supplement to undertake stadium events, and on the other hand,it has the potential for citizens to have outdoor leisure, entertainment, sports, and communication. However,in reality, the external space of the stadium is often lacking in popularity, lack of utilization due to problems such as insufficient openness, unreasonable function connection, imperfect streamline organization, unorganized mass combination, and poor facilities.Cause a great waste of public resources.Spatial organization,as the core concept of spatial syntax and spatial design network analysis, has quantitative analysis, which can reveal the hidden logical organization relationship behind the space. From the perspective of space organization, this paper takes 2 stadiums,Camp Nou(representing low-density spatial layout)and Shanghai Hongkou Stadium(representing high-density spatial layout)as typical cases, using line segment model, sight model and spatial network model.Quantitative analysis,at the same time, comparative analysis and research with the actual research status and the reconstruction and optimization plan designed by Nikken Sekkei+JPRA Arquitectes and Sasaki. The purpose and significance of the research is to explore the spatial structure as a rational and quantitative method, analyze the problems existing in the external space of the stadium, and propose an optimization strategy for the external space of the stadium. With a view to providing a reference for the optimization of the external space of the newly built, renovated and expanded stadium in the future.
