In recent years,discussions on quality education have been increasing.Newly built secondary school campuses are also emerging.The new campus is constantly being constructed,but there are few concerns about feedback on its use.Especially in today’s profound changes in educational patterns,teaching activities are no longer confined to classroom space.The overall atmosphere of the campus will have an important impact on the growth of students.Looking at the domestic research on the campus external space,many are limited to qualitative analysis.There are few cases that have been combined with data research and verified in actual projects.Nanjing Foreign Languages School,as an excellent primary and secondary school that is widely recognized by the society,has relatively advanced educational concepts and teaching methods,and has achieved a good demonstration role in the field of quality education.As an education school based on national conditions and international integration,the design of the external space on campus also complements the educational concept and is worthy of study and discussion.For Nanjing Foreign Language School,this paper adopts a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research methods.This paper uses traditional architectural analysis techniques to analyze from the general map to the road and then to the local public space.Quantitative research refers to methods such as spatial syntactic calculation,field surveys,questionnaire surveys,and mapping of cognitive maps.Evaluate the shape of campus space.First of all,the article collects domestic and foreign research literature on campus space morphology,and combs the basic theories and techniques of the study of external space morphology.Second,establish an electronic model of a series of campuses,use space syntax to calculate the external morphology of the campus.Thirdly,according to the space obtained by spatial syntactic calculation,combined with on-site field observations and a large number of research questionnaires,statistical methods are used to obtain data on student satisfaction.Finally,the qualitative and quantitative research results are combined to seek for a high-quality campus pattern.The pre-judgment and suggestions for the unfinished Nanjing Foreign Languages School are based on the real experience of campus users.With scientific and objective research software,the design strategy of the external space morphology of the Nanwai campus is drawn.At the same time,it will also put forward more ideas for the future design of the campus external space.
