The traditional rural settlements originate from the agglomeration of residential buildings, which has constructed the internal building group and the overall space of the settlement.During the long-term evolution, the traditional rural settlements constantly adapt to the local regional culture and climate environment, forming a natural native space morphology which reveals the ability of traditional settlements to resist and regulate the natural climate.Studying the correlation between microclimate environment and the public space morphology from the two-dimensional and three-dimansional perspectives,we can obtain the appropriate scale zone of the traditional settlements public space under green construction orientation based on body feeling comfort, which can help us to extract the regional architectural context and the green construction genes of the traditional rural settlements. The first part analyzes the public spatial morphological characteristics of traditional rural settlements in Zhejiang province.Based on the master plan of settlements consisting of the outlines of every single court,we extract the field related to every single court and obtain the density of the whole settlement from the two-dimensional perspective and the sky-view-factor of the entire public space from the three-dimensional perspective.According to these, the public spatial morphological characteristics of the traditional rural settlements in Zhejiang province are summarized. The second part simulates the microclimate environmet of the public space in traditional rural settlements. On the one hand,we arrange the test points evenly in public space based on every court field and simulate the microclimate environment by the methods of computer-aided programming in the period of the heating and cooling design day.On the other hand,we analyze the assessment indicators of microclimate environment by the method of mathematical statistics of the public space based on court field and draw a microclimate curve of the public space in winter and summer designed days. The third part discusses the correlation bewteen the public space morphology and the microclimate.Revising the comfort zone in the microclimate evaluation index in Zhejiang province, the body feeling comfort court field are selected from the every court fields.According to the result of body feeling comfort court field,We extract comfort court field from body feeling comfort court field above by studying the extreme temperature in the period of heating and cooling design day, defining it as the stable comfort court field which is recognized as the green construction of the traditional rural settlements.Studying the public space morphology of the stable comfort court field,we determine the appropriate scale zone of the traditional rural settlements public space morphology under green construction orientation based on body feeling comfort. Finally, the zone of the settlement size and boundary shape combined with the proportion of the comfort court field under green construction orientation based on body feeling comfort are obtained. This study aims to redefine the quntitative calculation method of the public space morphological characteristics of the traditional rural settlement from the multi-dimensional perspective and provide a more accurate reference for classifying of the public space morphological characteristics.By simulating the microclimate environment of the public space,we hope to obtain the appropriate scale zone of the traditional rural settlements public space morphology, providing the research ideas and theoretical support for the construction, rebuiliding and protection of traditional settlements.
