Research On The Status And Countermeasures Of Russian-Chinese Energy Cooperation

The energy cooperation between Russia and China is of great significance to the economic development of the two countries.China is one of the largest energy consumers in the world.China's economic growth is increasingly dependent on the adequacy and reliability of energy supplies.Russia has abundant petrochemical energy and clean energy.At the same time,Russia has a good energy policy and is committed to the development of energy trade.The two countries have complementary advantages in energy cooperation.Russia's energy export strategy and China's energy import strategy are in line with each other.In addition,considering geographical and political factors,the energy cooperation between the two countries has great potential and must be continuously deepened.Although Russia-China energy cooperation has encountered many obstacles,the two countries must overcome difficulties,strengthen their convictions,avoid risks,and actively explore energy cooperation policies that are more suitable for the two countries in order to break the obstacles of the external environment and enhance each other's international competitiveness.This article aims to assess the status of Russia-China energy cooperation and propose countermeasures to strengthen cooperation.First analyze the energy profile and energy strategy of Russia and China;then analyze the history of Russia-China energy cooperation and the current status of Russia-China energy cooperation;then use the SWOT analysis method to explore the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of Russia-China energy cooperation.On this basis,the SWOT matrix is constructed,and four strategies of SO,WO,ST,and WT are formulated to help Russia and China make comprehensive and accurate judgments.Finally,countermeasures to promote Russia-China energy cooperation are proposed at the macro and micro levels.Macro-level countermeasures include:improving the level of political mutual trust between Russia and China,formulating practical energy plans,establishing all-round and deep-level cooperation relations,establishing regional energy cooperation relations in Northeast Asia,and actively building a coordination mechanism for energy cooperation between Russia and China;Micro-level countermeasures include:improving the international competitiveness of Chinese energy companies,providing financial support for Chinese companies'investment in Russia,and focusing on the training of international professionals.
