The Problems And Countermeasures In Paradise Suzhou,Garden City

Suzhou classical gardens are the most precious urban heritages in Suzhou City.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the Suzhou Municipal Government has made great efforts to protect these gardens,founded a relatively complete protection system and made remarkable achievements.From 2014,the Suzhou Municipal Government began to work on the mass protection of classical gardens and proposed the construction project of "Paradise Suzhou,Garden City" in 2018.After years of efforts,this plan now provides a group protection system for Suzhou gardens,the title "City of 108 Gardens" has also become a new highlight in Suzhou,the public's awareness of classical garden is increasing,and the public participation in garden protection is also growing.At present,the construction and administration of the "Paradise Suzhou,Garden City" is still going on.Although some achievements have been made,several management problems have also appeared,including the poor management of some gardens' owners,the inadequacy of funds for repair and protection,the lack of technical experts and the insufficient government advocacy and public participation,all of these problems hindered the positive results of the project.By summarizing the achievements of "Paradise Suzhou,City of Gardens",analyzing the administrative problems encountered in the project,this paper provides specific suggestions for the project,including specifying legal responsibilities,adjusting the ownership relationship,guiding the market mechanism,strengthening the cultivation of talents and motivating the public participation.
