In recent years,China's civil aviation industry has developed rapidly,and the construction and reconstruction of airports throughout the country are increasing.At the same time,the increasing passenger throughput also puts pressure on the efficient operation of the terminal.Under this background,the terminal building architecture presents a development trend of humanized design,intelligent design,flexible design,and functional composite design.As a strategy for the complex design of terminal functions,the approach of entering and leaving the mixed flow area of passengers in recent years has become the trend of terminal design.In the design practice,there are not many examples of terminal buildings using mixed flow areas in China,and the design experience is relatively lacking.In the study of terminal buildings,there are few studies on the mixed flow areas of large terminal airports.Therefore,in this study,the three evaluation methods of passenger satisfaction evaluation,passenger behavior measurement evaluation and spatial visibility evaluation were used to evaluate the mixed flow area of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Terminal 2 from the perspectives of passenger psychology,passenger behavior,and spatial objective attributes.An evaluation and analysis were carried out,and based on the evaluation results,design suggestions for the mixed flow area of the terminal building of a large hub airport were put forward.The main content of this study can be divided into the following main parts.The first part(Chapter 2)firstly elaborates on the definition of a hub airport and terminal mixed-flow area,then introduces the development overview of the domestic and international terminal mixed-flow area,and finally carries out the advantages and disadvantages of terminal mixed-flow area design to sum up.The second part(Chapter 3)first introduces the construction background,general plan,functional layout,and process organization of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's Terminal 2 building,Space design,sign design,supporting facilities,etc.were elaborated in detail.The third part(Chapter 4)first selects passenger satisfaction evaluation,behavior measurement evaluation and spatial visibility evaluation as the evaluation methods based on the preparatory work for the evaluation.then designs the three evaluation methods.And finally,an overall evaluation model for the mixed flow area of the terminal building was established.The fourth part(Chapter 5 to Chapter 6)first quantifies the results of the questionnaire survey and obtains the passengers 'main points of interest and subjective evaluation in the mixed flow area;then the behavioral map method and behavioral trajectory tracking method are used for The behavior of passengers in the mixed flow area of the station building was analyzed,and the behavior of the passengers entering and leaving the port in the mixed flow area was found.Finally,the Space Syntax simulation software was used to visually analyze the mixed flow area of the Terminal 2 building of Baiyun Airport,and the first two evaluation methods were supplemented and verified.Part V(Chapter VII),on the basis of post-use evaluation research,we put forward suggestions on the design of the mixed flow area of the Terminal 2 building of Baiyun Airport.This paper evaluates and analyzes the mixed flow area of the Terminal 2 building of Baiyun Airport from the perspective of passenger psychology,behavior,and spatial visibility,and has certain guiding significance for the design of the mixed flow area of the terminal airport in the future.
