As the urbanization process continues to advance, the urban landscape pattern has undergone tremendous changes in contemporary metropolises, and the contradiction between the city and nature is becoming increasingly prominent. The natural landscape that originally exerted important ecological benefits has been heavily eroded by the construction land, and now only exists in some urban fringe areas. It is urgent to adopt scientific and reasonable methods to protect and properly restore. This article takes bird habitats as an entry point, and aims to explore green space planning and design methods for urban fringe areas with the ultimate goal of improving ecological service functions.Clarify the development overview of green space-related research in urban fringe areas at home and abroad, summarize the main points of its planning and design, and discuss the importance of bird habitat creation in green spaces in urban fringe areas;through the relevant theories and methods of bird habitat creation Research and summarize the methods applicable to green space planning and design, including the methods of spatial planning, environmental design, and habitat management. At the spatial planning level, based on the bird's need for habitat selection, with the help of the Arc GIS platform minimum cost distance analysis tool, evaluate the construction of a well-connected habitat network spatial structure;at the environmental design level, use animal-aided design and near The method of combining naturalized design, based on the needs of birds for food, water, nesting and concealment, comprehensively improve the quality of habitat environment;at the level of habitat management,to reduce the interference of human activities on the normal habitat behavior of birds As a basic goal,by studying the flight distances of different birds, ecological zones are defined, and the types of recreational activities that different zones can carry are limited. With reference to the points and methods of planning and design in the existing excellent cases, the research results are transformed and applied in the green space planning and design practice of Sijiqing Town, which is located on the edge of Beijing.
