The hot-rolling process refers to a process of winding and forming after heating the spring wire.This process has the advantages of good spring dimensional stability,small residual stress after heat treatment,and the production of thick wire diameter springs or variable diameter springs that are difficult to cold coil.The research on hot-roll forming technology of rear suspension springs has important guiding significance for the improvement of spring forming quality and the selection of hot-rolling process parameters.Therefore,this article takes a certain rear suspension spring as the research object,and conducts finite element analysis and experimental research on the spring hot coil forming process.The main contents of this article are as follows:Firstly,according to the geometric characteristics of the rear suspension spring and the hot forming process,the forming principles of the coil spring and the finishing process were analyzed,and the size of the key molds for the two processes was established.According to the principle that the total length and height of the deformation zone before and after the end were constant,and the total length of the spring during the coil spring was constant,a calculation method for the hot coil forming parameters of the rear suspension spring was proposed.This method was suitable for rear suspension springs that require high mechanical properties and fatigue life.Secondly,based on the elastoplastic finite element theory,the Simufact.forming software was used to establish a simulation model of the spring coil spring and the influence of the parameters of coil spring temperature,coil spring time,mandrel surface temperature,closing temperature and closing time on spring springback and temperature was analyzed.Then,based on the stiffness theory of the rear suspension spring,HyperMesh and ABAQUS software were used to jointly simulate the spring model after hot coil forming,and the influence of the hot coil process parameters on the spring rigidity was discussed.Through theoretical and finite element analysis of spring fatigue life,it was concluded that hot coil residual stress greatly reduced the spring fatigue life,and the effect of hot coil process parameters on spring residual stress and fatigue life was discussed.Finally,through the comparison experiment of hot spring forming of rear suspension spring,the accuracy of the finite element simulation results of hot spring forming of spring was verified.The orthogonal test design method was used to select a set of the best coil spring process parameters.On the basis of this process parameter,a scheme for improving the geometric accuracy of the spring was proposed.
