The construction industry is one of the important industries that affects a country's economy and society.It has driven many related industries,provided a large number of employment opportunities,and solved the housing problem of residents.No matter in which country it plays a pivotal role.In recent years,affected by the macroeconomic regulation and control of China's economy,the growth of the construction industry has slowed down,but there is still room for development.Facing the pressure from the industry,if construction companies want to occupy a dominant position in the market,they need to improve their project management ability,especially the schedule management ability.Firstly,this article summarizes the research status of domestic and foreign schedule planning and control,and briefly explains the relevant theories.Schedule management mainly includes two aspects: schedule planning and control.Only by scientifically preparing schedules,rationally allocating resources,formulating systematic safeguard measures,and continuously checking and adjusting project schedule can we ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.Secondly,the first phase of the S community project was used as the research object.Based on consulting relevant engineering data and understanding the construction process,the tasks were divided from the perspective of the general construction contractor.The work breakdown structure(WBS)is mainly divided into five construction stages.Some large-volume and multi-process work adopts the method of interspersed construction,which truly reflects the relationship between the various tasks of the contractor.After that,according to the work breakdown structure(WBS),the various engineering quantities are classified and combined,and the working time is calculated by the quota calculation method,the labor and machinery resources are determined in a targeted manner.The software was used to draw a activity-on-arrow network diagram of the project and find the critical path.Because the schedule is longer than the duration of the contract,according to the actual situation of the project,based on the basically unchanged total resource input,the critical path method(CPM)was used to optimize the schedule.The optimized construction period was advanced by 70 days,meeting the construction contractor's requirements of the progress.Finally,based on the principle of schedule control,the main processes and the factors that affect the S community schedule control of the general construction contractor were summarized.The force majeure affecting the construction period of the project was analyzed,summarized the experience and measures of schedule control from the aspects of organization,economy,technology and management.It is hoped that this article can help the general construction contractor to improve the schedule management and provide reference for the schedule management of other construction projects.
