Traditional villages are less interfered by human planning in the process of development, and have the characteristics of self-organization and growth. The spatial form of traditional villages is the external form formed by the inheritance and continuation of a certain law or order in the long process of evolution. As the place of human settlement, the traditional villages reflect a kind of inherent commonness in the form of many settlements-the boundary of settlements, the boundary determines the order of space, and the space is meaningful because of the boundary, which provides us with tools to understand and perceive space. Therefore, this paper focuses on the problem of "what laws exist in the formation of traditional village boundary form".Firstly, this paper analyzes and summarizes the influence degree and mode of each factor on the village boundary form from two aspects of natural environment background and social culture background, and preliminarily recognizes the connotation of the formation of the boundary form by analyzing the characteristics of the traditional village boundary;secondly, starting from the formation law of the boundary form under the influence of external and internal leading factors, with the help of patch shape in landscape ecology By using the correlation analysis method of Pearson and Spearman in statistics, this paper further analyzes and reveals the relationship between the traditional village boundary morphology and the elements of topography, river system, environment and resources;then, starting with the spatial organization relationship between the village boundary morphology from the inside out and the internal elements, this paper analyzes the boundary shape with the help of grey correlation analysis and other correlation analysis methods The relationship between the state attribute and the form attribute of the internal constituent elements leads to the formation mechanism of the boundary form, and further explains and explores the causes behind the mechanism. The results show that topography and river system play a leading role in the formation of the traditional village boundary.Under the external leading factors, the traditional village boundary is easy to develop into a group shape in the flat area,a finger shape in the steep area, and a band shape in the unilateral waterfront village.Through further mathematical series The result of calculation and analysis shows that 65.57% of the village boundaries form clusters, ribbons or fingers under the joint action of topography and river system in 61 research samples;secondly, there is a strong correlation between the traditional village boundary shape and its internal elements-open space and building complex. The result of correlation analysis shows that the clustering degree of building patches and building level The average nearest distance has the greatest effect on the village boundary finger coefficient, and the correlation degree is 0.722 and 0.710,respectively.It shows that the aggregation degree of building patches largely determines the finger coefficient of village boundary shape. For traditional villages, the aggregation between building patches often comes from the attraction formed by the village "center".In the context of rapid development of urban and rural areas,it is of great value and significance to explore the internal law of the formation of traditional village form and reveal the formation mechanism behind it,so as to inherit the traditional wisdom of the Chinese nation in village construction.
