Research On Design Of Child-friendly Outdoor Activity Space In Urban Residential Areas Based On PCA

In the context of the construction of child-friendly cities in China,the construction of child-friendly outdoor activity space in urban residential areas is the most urgent.How to create a friendly and high-quality outdoor activity space for children in the urban living space should attract people’s attention.Pay attention to the outdoor sports mode of combining sports and games in children’s leisure time,enhance the comprehensive development of children’s physical intelligence,promote the construction of social outdoor public service space,comprehensively put forward children’s outdoor activity space design strategies and models,and create a good outdoor activity space and environment.This paper takes Harbin as the research object.Firstly,through field research on various types of communities,this topic focus on and analyze children’s outdoor activities,space types and status quo issues.Secondly,by understanding the principle of principal component analysis method,combing the analysis and application process,using the focus group interview and questionnaire survey to refine the spatial elements of children’s outdoor activities,the spatial elements of outdoor activities in child-friendly residential areas are obtained.The set of elements consists of six principal components and 58 secondary elements.The principal components include safety,accessibility,interest,versatility,activity facilities and environmental characteristics.And then the relationship between the primary component and the secondary element is determined.Finally,the paper proposes the countermeasures for the outdoor activity space design of Harbin child-friendly residential area,and pays attention to the element composition and key element design of different types of child-friendly outdoor activity space design,such as open space type in front of the house,concentrated open space type in the community and open space type around the residential area.The spatial element composition and spatial design countermeasures of the outdoor activities in the child-friendly residential area obtained in this paper can attract the attention of the government and urban planning workers,and promote the development of space policy and construction mode,and provide reference for the actual construction in the future.It also compensates for the gaps in Harbin’s research in this field.In addition,it is expected to provide guidance for similar cold cities in China and reference for other regions.
