Research On The Design Of Community Public Activity Space Under The Concept Of Child-friendly

The construction of child-friendly communities has become an important issue in urban planning.Shenzhen,Changsha,Shanghai and other cities have conducted many child-friendly studies and practices,such as how to promote children’s freedom to travel independently and connect to various activities in the community,and how to build spaces that are suitable for both young and old.The research in this paper is a response to the fact that child-friendly community practices are in full swing,but the corresponding space construction is relatively backward.After clarifying the research direction and problems,we first compiled the theoretical and practical aspects of child-friendly and community public spaces,and further researched how to obtain child-friendly community certification,and came up with five elements of child-friendly community construction-space,travel routes,activity operation and maintenance,neighborhood relationship and culture,and policy and institutional construction.The basic principles and construction priorities of childfriendly community space construction should be grasped;through the case study method,the three major construction modules of child-friendly community space are summarized,and the theoretical and practical case studies are prepared for the design strategies.After that,we use action observation method and field research interview method to find out the characteristics of community space and the problems in the site,summarize the characteristics of children’s activities in the community and the negative samples that affect children’s use of community space,analyze the conflicts and contradictions that children encounter in the community space,combine the theoretical and practical case studies in the previous section,find out the solutions to the problems,and propose the "Children’s Play The design strategy of the "Children’s Play Grid Program" is proposed."The design strategy of "Children’s Play Grid Plan" is explained in four aspects:space,route,function,and relationship,covering all aspects of children’s travel,activities,play,and learning in the community space.The "Children’s Play Grid Project"aims to explore how to link residents,children,space,events,activities,neighborhoods and other elements to form a complete child-friendly community relationship network.Taking the Ziyu Street area in Jiangnan West,Guangzhou as an example,the design strategy of the "Children’s Play Grid Program" is applied to the actual situation of the site,proposing to establish and weave functional circles,make the community public space child-friendly,create Jinlingli relationship-friendly activities,and build a child travel safety atmosphere and community culture.The plan is not only to meet the needs of children,but also to meet the needs of different groups of people while making the community space child-friendly,so as to truly realize the slogan of "child-friendly must be universal friendly".
