Since the pressure regulator is a key element of shut-off and control valves in absolutely any pneumatic-hydraulic system, the question of designing a regulator for certain conditions is always an urgent task.A study of existing works showed that when designing a pressure regulator there are a huge number of factors that should be considered.Often, parameters are selected as assumptions(or selected from empirical results of other works). However, there are important factors that need attention, such as estimating the pressure distribution coefficient over a valve disc.In the context of this work, the coefficient is not assumed depending on the geometry of the plate, but is determined empirically. To study the operation of the designed valve,a model is built in the simulink environment. The resulting model allows us to evaluate the static and dynamic characteristics of a pressure reducing valve under the influence of various factors, such as change in load. Thus,a pressure reducing valve was developed that meets the initial requirements,as well as an integrated approach to its design, which combines the solution of a distributed parameter model, linear static analysis by the finite element method and gas flow simulation(CFD).At the end of the work,a prototype pressure regulator with the main overall dimensions is presented, which corresponds to the basic logic of the assembly procedure and is physically feasible.
