Architecture is the epic of a city.It records the history and culture of a city,carries people's memories of the past,and marks the common development of society,culture and economy.Industrial architecture is the carrier of urban industrial context and the historical mark preserved in the industrial age.With the continuous progress of China's modernization process,China is faced with a large number of idle,upgrading and upgrading of industrial buildings.Many industrial buildings that are well preserved and relatively intact are facing the danger of being demolished.Compared with the old buildings,the transformation and reuse of the existing industrial buildings under the influence of various factors are particularly valuable.Under this background,the economic value and historical and cultural significance of the existing industrial buildings have been taken seriously.The rapid development of the city brings challenges to the structural technology.With the continuous breakthroughs in the development of structural technology,it is relatively easy to solve the problem of building structure in a scientific and reasonable way.However,the architectural expressiveness of structural technology is a challenge.The structure of industrial buildings often reflects the industrial quality and aesthetic value to the greatest extent.Therefore,the performance of the structure is particularly important in the transformation process of industrial buildings,which is of practical significance to the healthy development of existing industrial buildings.This paper first collated the development history of the existing industrial buildings and the practical background of their transformation,and put forward the purpose and significance of the research on the structural performance of the existing industrial buildings in the process of transformation.Through the definition of relevant concepts and the arrangement of research contents,the method and framework of research are clarified.It is hoped that further research will be carried out based on the structural characteristics of existing industrial buildings,the influencing factors of structural performance in the transformation,and the principles of safety feasibility,economic applicability and ecology of existing industrial buildings,and the corresponding strategies are put forward around the technical and artistic performance of the structure.The technical performance of the structure is based on structural reinforcement,structural repair and extension of spatial functions,and puts forward a strategy based on structural reinforcement,renewal strategy based on structural repair and integration strategy based on function extension.The technical expression of the structure aims at the three aspects of the industrial characteristics,historical values and regional context of the existing industrial buildings.It puts forward the strategies of reconstructing the interface to adapt to the changes of the times,strengthening the symbol extraction of industrial characteristics,and studying the scale of regional characteristics,and grasping the strategies of three structural forms,aiming at enriching its practical theory.It can play a certain role in promoting the good development of existing industrial buildings.
