The living street is the container of urban outdoor activities, and also the public space of people's daily life, which often has a unique and unforgettable sense of place. However, with the rapid urbanization, the contradiction between people and vehicles has become increasingly prominent. The streets are constructed by the main measure of motor vehicle communication behavior, ignoring the main position of people in the street users. The street life is gradually marginalized, and the streets gradually lose vitality due to the loss of life atmosphere, becoming a lost space. Now we are faced with the problem of how to improve the quality of living street space environment, design more refined, human street space to promote the occurrence of walking activities. In this context,it is of theoretical and practical value for the occurrence of urban pedestrian activities and the improvement of living street environment quality to explore the living street environment factors that affect pedestrian behavior from the micro level. In order to realize the transformation and development of urbanization and meet the multiple demands of urban residents for living streets, this article takes 26 living streets in the main urban area of Harbin as the research object, and uses pedestrian walking as a medium, from pedestrian activity spaces, street facilities and building interface along the street Three aspects explore the composition of living street environment elements in Harbin, using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis methods to study the impact of active street environment on pedestrian walking behavior.Through multiple on-site surveys to analyze the current situation of the living street environment, and using a questionnaire survey to analyze pedestrian walking behavior,it is concluded that the living street environment in Harbin has the problems of cramped walking space, insufficient street facilities configuration and lack of enthusiasm for the building interface along the street.Taking objective walking behavior characteristics(walking frequency, duration)and subjective walking satisfaction as the indicators of pedestrian walking behavior, using SPSS software to perform correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis of living street environment element indicators and walking behavior indicators,Determine the indicators of street environmental factors that have an important effect on walking behavior and determine the degree of their impact. The study found that pedestrian parking density and transfer station density have an impact on walking frequency, storefront density and functional density have an impact on walking duration;pedestrian width, pedestrian parking density, interface density, and lighting facility density will affect different walking satisfaction. Finally, combined with the research results, aiming at the existing problems of living streets in Harbin, and coordinating the status quo of the streets, the optimal design strategy was proposed from the three aspects of pedestrian activity space, street facilities and architectural interfaces along the street, with a view to updating and planning the living street environment in Harbin The design provides a scientific basis.
