Research On Public Space Of University Library Based On Environmental Behavior Theory

With the reform of China's higher education model,the teaching method is also changing,with the emergence of group,social,interactive,experiential and other different learning activities.The single form of public space in the traditional library is difficult to meet the behavioral and psychological needs of students in the new era.As the carrier of carrying out the idea of higher education,the research on the public space of library is of great significance.Based on the theory of environmental behavior,this paper studies and analyzes the types and characteristics of public space in libraries,as well as the behavior patterns and psychological needs of students in the space,and finds the corresponding relationship between the characteristics of public space in libraries and students' behavioral psychology.By using the method of behavior map,this paper investigates and analyzes the public space of the selected university library,records and observes the distribution characteristics of students in each space node,and obtains the behavior map of students in the library space by integrating the drawing software.Through the induction and analysis of the point data obtained from the behavior map,the distribution law of students in each space node is obtained,and it is analyzed from the four aspects of spatial location,interface and limitation,scale and shape,and spatial hierarchy,so as to verify the scientific nature of the corresponding relationship between spatial feature-behavior and psychology,and provide a basis for the conclusion.In,on the basis of theoretical research and practical investigation on the spatial characteristics of public space nodes from four aspects put forward the design principles and strategies,and to shijiazhuang vocational technical college library under the higher education park design as an example,the research results before applying to the library in the design of public space,in order to build a kind of suitable for students,positive energetic,has the scene,can give students bring infinite daydream,stimulates the student to participate in the public space environment.
