Research On Library Interior Public Space Design Based On Environmental Psychology

Since the beginning of the 21 st century,the construction of Public Library in China has developed rapidly.As one of the indispensable elements in the construction of urban culture,public library undertakes the functions of book c ollection,borrowing and providing reading space for the general public.It is al so an important symbol of urban culture.At present,in the interior public spac e design of some library buildings in our country,there are still some problem s,such as less consideration of readers' reading behavior and psychological fact ors,insufficient attention to the psychological needs of public library users,etc Through the analysis of questionnaire data and the summary of field research,this paper finds out the insufficient consideration of environmental psychology;through the integration of environmental psychology theory and interior design,this paper analyzes the impact of Library Interior Design on readers' use beha vior;through the research of environmental psychology,this paper puts forward some suggestions Based on the theory of environment perception,environment cognition,space behavior and scene and place,the paper summarizes the desi gn elements that can promote the learning behavior in the indoor environment;through the comprehensive discussion of each design element,it comes to the principles and ideas of library interior environment design that play a positive role in the readers' reading behavior.Finally,according to the above theory,t aking Handan library as an example,this paper puts forward relevant design st rategies for the interior public space of public library,and prospects the theoret ical research of the combination of environmental psychology and interior desig n in the future.
