As one of the basic facilities of urban fire safety,the outdoor fire hydrant plays a very significant role in preventing and responding to fires.However,because of the scattered distribution of fire hydrant facilities,backward in water pressure monitoring methods,aging facilities and frequent human damage,it is particularly hard for the fire departments to carry out monitor and maintain fire hydrants in their jurisdictions.Thus,a real-time monitoring system is required for information feedback and processing in the first time.The Internet of Things makes use of radio frequency identification,sensor network and other technologies to perceive various kinds of information as a whole,which achieve reliable transmission by means of the fusion of the Internet and wireless networks,and analyzes and processes information by using intelligent technology so as to achieve intelligent monitoring and control.Regarding the problems mentioned above and the shortcomings of the existing hydrant products and by combining with the Internet of Things technology,this paper puts forward a real-time monitoring terminal on the basis of the Internet of Things and develops a corresponding fire water pressure monitoring software so as to conduct real-time monitoring of the hydrant water pressure and other information,thereby achieving intelligent management of the fire protection system.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)As for the monitoring terminal structure and power consumption.The monitoring terminal proposed in this paper is small and convenient to install.The terminal uses various low-power dissipation components,chooses STM 32 as the main controller,selects three operating modes according to its low-power dissipation performance,and makes use of LDO to provide different power supply voltages for each module.Through elaborate design,this terminal has low power consumption during real-time monitoring and can meet the demands for long-term operation.(2)In terms of dealing with the problem in time for the alarminformation.This paper takes IDEA as the development tool moreover Java language is used as a design and development language.It exchanged data with a database by means of a Web Service and determines demand analysis and detailed design according to software engineering methods so as to develop a monitoring system.During the course of development,a series of automatic information processing rules were set.Firstly,the simulated data uploaded by the monitoring terminal was converted into the original data of numerical data(“0” and “1”)and then through the set alarm information analysis rules,and then the original data were analyzed and processed through alarm compression rules and work order processing rules,etc.,which was automatically converted to work order form and assigned to the maintenance personnel.As well as filled in the processing log so as to realize the intelligent management of fire hydrants and deal with the problem of timely information processing and feedback.The test and analysis results of various functions of the monitoring terminal and the fire water pressure monitoring system show that the monitoring system satisfies the actual demands well and improves the efficiency of monitoring and maintaining fire hydrant facilities.
