The development of ancient cities and towns in China relied on agriculture, and natural precipitation was often inconsistent with urban water use and agricultural rhythm. Therefore, the ancients, based on the natural water system, transformed the surrounding rivers, lakes, and seas.built water conservancy facilities to supply water for cities and farms. The construction of water conservancy facilities has changed the land pattern of the city to a certain extent, affecting the development of the country's land and the formation of regional landscapes.Ganpu area in Jiaxing,Zhejiang,is an example.Ganpu Town used to be a famous commercial port and military town in the south of the Yangtze River. It is located in the great environment of Jiangnan Water Town, south of the Qiantang River and into the sea.The area of Ganpu is mountainous, and the terrain is relatively high. Therefore, the ancients built embankments on the North-south Lake(formerly known as Yong'an Lake)to store water from the mountains to irrigate the farmland downstream. In addition to the reservoir conservancy project, commercial shipping requires the development of waterways, and the fight against the tide requires the construction of sea-dyke.Therefore,the water conservancy system mainly composed of reservoir, artificial channel, and sea-dyke in the Ganpu area has been continuously improved since the Tang Dynasty, and has become a means of agricultural development, production and living.Taking the landscape pattern supported by the water conservancy system as the base of the landscape system in the Ganpu area,a unique human landscape system is bred.Today, with rapid economic and social development, the traditional water conservancy system has been replaced by emerging technologies and projects. The water conservancy system of the North-south Lake has lost its irrigation function. The ancient city wall of Ganpu was demolished and the city river was invaded.Although the surface of the lake of North-south Lake is fortunate to be retained. However, the urban-water relationship of the entire town area is not as good as it used to be.In this context, the research on regional landscapes with traditional water conservancy projects as the core is of great significance to the urban planning of Ganpu and urban ecological protection, tourism development, and the inheritance of regional culture. This article takes the water conservancy system as the core and studies the regional landscape of the Ganpu area. The first chapter is an introduction to research, clarifying the research background, significance and research purpose of this article, defining the time-space scope and specific content ofthe research.Summarize the research status of domestic and overseas, and on this basis, determine the research method and framework of this article. The second chapter studies and summarizes the natural environmental conditions and social historical background factors of water conservancy construction in Ganpu area. The third chapter is to systematically sort out the historical evolution of water conservancy construction in the Ganpu area and summarize the operation mechanism of various water conservancy systems. The fourth chapter is to systematically sort out the development history of agricultural landscape system, settlement landscape system, religion, landscape architecture and other regional landscape elements in Ganpu area, and analyze the relationship between the regional landscape in ancient Ganpu area and the development of water conservancy system.Chapter 5 discusses the development strategy of contemporary urban-water relations on this basis.Chapter 6 studies and analyzes relevant domestic and foreign traditional regional landscape protection, water conservancy landscape protection and landscaping related cases, and provides guidance and reference for the planning and design stage.Chapter 7,in the planning and design stage, discusses the feasibility of constructing the blue-green network of the Ganpu area through the inductive extraction of traditional regional landscapes in Ganpu area and the analysis and study of related cases, and proposes the idea of building a ring-shaped ancient city park in Ganpu,Intended to provide reference for the future protective planning and landscape design of the Ganpu area.
