Design Of Signal Traffic Timing System For Intersections Based On V2X

With the development of The Internet of Things and embedded technologies,the traffic conditions has become one of the hot issues of social concern.In the case of vehicle at an intersection,the characteristics of the connected equipment and platform and the appropriate algorithms play an important role in the overall improvement of the transportation network.In view of the current problems of low degree of cooperative control at intersections,inconsistent transmission data formats,incomplete database construction,and too single algorithm for signal timing of intersections,this paper analyzes the technical background and requirements of signal timing system for intersections,and proposes an overall design.In terms of system hardware environment integration,building an embedded development platform as a terminal device,using an on-board GPS data acquisition device,and using two high-performance desktop computers as a server and a console complete the connection of the entire system;in terms of specifications and transmission of application layer protocol,this study organizes and designs the information format by GB/T 31024 "Special Short-range Communication for Cooperative Intelligent Transportation System",and converts the information into software code;in terms of server database message storage,this study draws entity-contact diagram and designs data table;in terms of algorithm application,the timing algorithm based on fuzzy control is used to realize the calculation of intersection traffic indicators under two periods,to make the signal status of intersections have the best traffic indicators under the conditions of different low-speed vehicle moving lengths leading to the intersection.This study did modular tests of the application software of the designed system,and compared and analyzed the operation results with the two timing schemes.The results show that the design scheme in this study can complete the basic functions of the intersection timing system and improve the traffic indicators at different time periods.
