Study On The Spatial Form Evolution And Motivation Of Ulan Mulun Town

As China attaches importance and attention to the development of small cities and towns,research on the spatial development of small cities and towns is gradually being strengthened.Especially for many resource-based small cities and towns,their development faces many factors such as resources,economy,and ecology.Restrictions,some urban spaces have already experienced some unraveling and shrinking.Therefore,it is particularly important to conduct relevant research on the spatial form of resourcebased small towns and further improve the dilemma and problems faced by urban space development.This paper selects Ulan Mulun Town,a typical coal resource town in China,as its research object.It is typical and special in terms of natural environment,geographic location,and industrial structure.The characteristics of the process of town evolution and the drivers of its influence were studied,and on this basis,suggestions for spatial development were put forward.This article builds a specific research framework based on the morphological research methods and ideas.First,this article describes,calculates,and analyzes the urban morphology in six typical years during the study period,and obtains the basic characteristics of the urban morphology in typical years.Based on the research data and the results obtained,through the horizontal comparison of the basic structure,layout scale,compact level,boundary fractal dimension,and internal functional space of the town in each typical year,we obtained several feature.Combining relevant analysis and further summarizing,the three basic laws of the evolution of the spatial pattern of the town,namely "horizontal rigidity,longitudinal elasticity","multi-core drive,multi-point growth" and "fitting landforms and getting stronger gradually" are obtained;It also analyzes and studies the drivers of urban spatial form evolution,and divides them into basic,driving,and other three categories according to the strength and effect of various drivers on urban form evolution,and summarizes the effects of various drivers..At the same time,in the course of this research,it was also found that the three types of drivers still have certain characteristics of transformation and fluctuation over time.Combined with their transformation process,the internal mechanisms of various drivers and urban development are analyzed and the "with the Three mechanisms of action: "motion","balance" and "differentiation";finally,the system summarizes the problems in the urban form of Ulan Mulun and puts forward targeted development suggestions,and also takes the social and economic aspects of Ulan Mulun Town into consideration The deficiencies and suggestions for improvement were appropriately discussed to supplement the research.
