The three core elements of project management are time,quality,and cost.Time is one of the key indicators for evaluating the success or failure of project construction.The level of project progress management is closely related to the core competitiveness of modern construction enterprises.On the basis of balancing quality and cost,it is a major task of project management to control the progress of projects.The Z sewage plant construction project(hereinafter referred to as the "Z project")is a key project in Qingdao.It has heavy tasks and tight schedules.It is urgent to scientifically and effectively manage its progress to ensure timely delivery according to the requirements of the higher authorities.This paper first analyzes some problems such as the difficulty of construction and excessive estimation of process time in the progress management of Z project.At the same time,it tried to improve some defects of Critical chain identification,buffer setting and buffer monitoring,and successfully applied it to Z project schedule management.The whitening weight function in the gray prediction model is used to re-evaluate the construction period to reduce the artificial increase of excessive safety time;the heuristic algorithm center of gravity theorem is used to balance resource conflicts simply and quickly,and to identify Critical chain.The calculation of the root variance method buffer has been improved,and the variance of safety time,position weight and risk coefficient are used for the calculation of root variance method.The traditional three-color monitoring method is improved,the buffer consumption is compared with the completed workload of Critical chain tasks,and a buffer warning and action decision matrix is established.Considering the influence of human behavior factors,when using Critical chain technology in project management,an incentive assessment mechanism was established to avoid the negative impact of human behavior factors and ensure that the Critical chain management achieves the expected results.Using the Critical chain project management technology in the Z project has solved the problem of the project facing the reduction of the construction period,solved some shortcomings of the traditional schedule management method,improved the Z project schedule management model,and obtained Better results.This technology has a good value in popularization and application,and can provide reference and reference for other engineering projects.
