In recent years, with the rise of the creative industry,a new group of people called "makers" had emerged.Maker space is used to carry the behavior of makers, and this new architectural space form is becoming active. At the same time, the university maker space had stand out,but the construction and design status could not meet the needs of users. Therefore, the research on the design of maker space in colleges and universities has far-reaching social significance.Due to the small amount of relevant research, this paper could provide a more systematic theoretical method for the design of maker space,so this project has certain theoretical significance. The research purpose of this paper was to provide a feasible design strategy for the maker space in colleges and universities based on the behavior of users,so as to guide the construction of facilities and spatial planning, and to improve the layout of maker space and many problems existing in the design of facilities.Firstly, the research status of the maker space in colleges and universities at home and abroad was investigated in detail. It was found that the research object and content of the maker space in colleges and universities need to be updated.Based on the behavioral logic theory, the author obtained the spatial layout pattern and the facility design strategy according to the spatial organization structure, the operational flow of the facility hardware and the visual flow of the software. On this basis, the design model of the university maker space was built, and the design practice of the university maker space was carried out,the overall planning of the space layout was carried out,and the design of the desk in the learning area, the modular discussion table in the discussion area and the lifting table in the production area was carried out. Finally,Jack software was used for simulation, and accessible domain analysis was used to analyze the facility.Metabolic analysis module was used for comparative analysis of user path and energy consumption between the design and the existing spatial layout to determine the rationality of the design and verify the scientific nature and feasibility of the design strategy.
