Firstly,this paper expounds the research background and research purpose,systematically sorts out the domestic and foreign literatures on the research and developmen(R&D)efficiency of enterprises,and combines the input and output of the sample enterprises to statistically analyze the R&D status of listed companies in the new energy vehicle industry.Secondly,through a comparative analysis of traditional DEA model and improved DEA model,the three-stage DEA model and the Malmquist index model methods are finally adopted,then building the R&D efficiency index system by selecting input output and environmental variables.Thirdly,using the data of 146 new energy vehicle industry listed companies from2013 to 2018,this paper conducts an empirical analysis of the R&D efficiency of these companies from static and dynamic dimensions.The results show that,after the adjustment of the SFA model,the ineffective R&D scale efficiency has led to the low R&D efficiency of some listed companies in the new energy vehicle industry.Compared with the results before the adjustment,the number of companies in the new energy vehicle industry listed companies that have reached the DEA effective value each yeaar has decreased.From the perspective of annual changes in total factor productivity(TFP),the average TFP of listed companies in China's new energy vehicle industry increased by 7.9% from 2013 to 2018.The change in TFP has generally shown a "U" shape with annual development.By comparing the R&D efficiency and TFP of three types of listed companies in the new energy vehicle industry in China,it is found that new energy vehicle industry integrated listed companies have the highest R&D efficiency and the growth rate of TFP is in the middle,new energy vehicles listed companies have the second highest R&D efficiency and the highest TFP growth rate,the R&D efficiency and TFP growth rate of lithium battery listed companies are the lowest.Finally,based on the results of comparison and empirical analysis,specific countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to improve the R&D efficiency of listed companies in China's new energy vehicle industry.
