Bridge swivel construction is casting or assembling beams at a more favorable location on the non-design axis,which is suitable for various complex site conditions.Therefore,the swivel construction method is most common in bridge constructions that crosse deep valley rapids and existing lines.In particular,the pier-top swivel construction method has been used in many continuous beams in recent years due to its advantages in economy and safety.However,the pier-top swivel construction method also has several shortcomings: after the completion of the swivel,there are hidden safety hazards in the process of system conversion,the pier body is bloated,and the ball hinge cannot be reused.In order to solve these problems,this thesis proposes a removable steel ball hinge,and the following research work has been carried out:(1)The composition of the swivel system in the swivel construction is studied.Two wedges and a ring hoop are added on the basis of common ball hinges,and a removable steel ball hinge is proposed.By referring to the mechanical design principles,a drive system driven by multiple gears in parallel was designed.The structural form and working principle,layout form of the removable steel ball hinge and gear drive system and the disassembly method of the swivel device after the swivel are introduced in detail.The removable spherical hinge and gear drive system are theoretically calculated,and the stress distribution of the spherical slide plate,the friction condition of the wedges,the stress distribution of the ring hoop,the turning start traction force and the driving capacity of the gear drive system are analyzed.Taking an 100 m pier-top swivel continuous beam as an example,the removable ball hinge and gear drive system are calculated,and the swivel device meets the use requirements.(2)Use finite element analysis software to perform numerical simulation analysis on the removable steel ball hinge and hydraulic motor base.According to the numerical simulation results,the distribution characteristics of stress and displacement of the whole ball hinge and each component are analyzed,and the influence of different friction coefficients on the force of the ball joint is analyzed.Simulate the force of the motor base during swivel to ensure that it has sufficient horizontal rigidity.(3)A 1:1 removable steel ball hinge model was produced,and a vertical bearing test with a maximum load of 50000 k N was conducted.The vertical deformation of the ball hinge was tested and the load-displacement curve was obtained.The stress of the ring hoop was tested and compared with the numerical simulation results.And according to the test to improve the structure of the ball hinge.
