Social Responsibility Performance Of New Energy Auto Companies When Government Subsidy Structure Changes

The new energy auto industry has obtained a large number of government subsidies in the course of development,which can be roughly classified as popularization and application,R&D investment,technical transformation,employment,energy saving and emission reduction,tax return.Government subsidies are designed to raise the level of social welfare.This paper divides the social responsibility into three parts of economic responsibility,environmental responsibility and community responsibility.Through the research,it is found that:(1)for the economic responsibility,government subsidies have a direct effect on BYD's profits,and the speed of government subsidy funds return have seriously affected the operation cash flow of BYD.Thus it has had a negative impact on the protection of BYD's creditors ' interests.Under the situation of information asymmetries and unclear government subsidy information,political connections make it easier for BYD to obtain government subsidies through rent-seeking.In the face of higher taxes,BYD tends to reduce its tax burden by seeking rent.(2)In terms of environmental responsibility,the application-oriented subsidy has greatly promoted the sales of new energy vehicles.Because of information asymmetry and low-cost government penalties,there is a possibility of technical transformation subsidies misappropriation.Thus the energy utilization efficiency is not high.R&D subsidies have a certain role in promoting BYD's R&D investment.But rent-seeking activity makes BYD's R&D efficiency is not high.(3)Community responsibility Level: Government subsidies for employees have contributed to the provision of more jobs.The amount of corporate donation depends on its profitability.The conclusion of this paper is of practical significance for the efficiency of government subsidy utilization and the promotion of the long-term healthy development of new energy auto industry.
