The diesel engine is mainly composed of mechanical and electrical equipment,and it’s difficult to be diagnosed due to the complex system.In order to monitor the running status of diesel engine,it’s necessary to collect and save the operation parameters which should be analyzed scientifically.In this paper,online data storage system is designed to record and upload the working condition parameter of diesel engine,which could provide the data support for engine fault diagnosis and condition monitoring.According to the system functional requirements,a series of performance indexes were determined to guide the overall design of system,such as storage contents,system response,data security and so on.The system was mainly composed of high performance ARM processor STM32F407 and NAND Flash.On the basis of hardware,the codes for device drivers were wrote in Keil and storage management strategies were also designed to solve the wear,bad blocks,and operation errors of NAND Flash.The data storage structure was composed of total property,catalog and data files.With the above index structure,retrieval methods were applied in this system for quickly upload,such as sequential search method based on record times and blocking search method based on multiple parameters.The operation data generated from vehicle and engine was collected by CAN1 channel and the communication with PC was achieved by CAN2 channel.Besides,voltage monitor and file backup were applied to ensure the data security.The system function was verified on the engine test platform.The results showed that operation data was successfully acquired and uploaded.Based on the running data,the failure of water temperature sensor and crankshaft sensor were diagnosed,which verified the effectiveness and applicability of this system.
