The suspension system is the most critical part of the vehicle system. It is essential and instructional to build up a vehicle dynamic model with high precision in development and design processes. With the development of computer technology and multibody dynamics, the multibody dynamics provides profound theories and technicalguidances for vehicle dynamics modeling. The vehicle dynamics model based on the multibody dynamics is more accurate and practical than the classical dynamic model. In this work, the multibody dynamics relative coordinates and the graph theory are combined to the analyze the structure of anminiature passenger car suspension.Meanwhile, the dynamic equations of the left front, front, rear left, rear suspension and the vehicle multibody system are derived for modeling. The tire pure theory model as the input criteria of the suspension multibody system dynamic model was established to simulate the suspension K&C characterisitic test. Then it is important to verify the accuracy of this model by comparing and analyzing the experimental data and simulation results. The results show that the model has high precision and can predict the performance of the vehicle. It also provides a new solution for the vehicle dynamic modeling. The assesment of simulation results was made to guide the future optimization and iprovement, especially about the left parts.Regarding the issue that carter is above the average in the left front suspension K&C,a study was aimed at the impact of the changes of coordinateson the wheel alignment parameters. The results show that the upper hinge point of strut, the front and rear hinge point between the LCA and vehicle body have great impact on the wheel alignment parameters. It turned out acceptable results after optimization according to the patterns. The effect of adjustment of structure of suspension was investigated.Based on GB/T,two sets of ride comfort simulations were conducted with pulse and random pavement input, respectively. The results suggested reasonable improvements were achieved, but not significant. Finally,it was nature to figure out the ride comfort of the original model. And the driver had good driving experience, which meant the feedback was positive.
