| Since the beginning of the 21 st century,China has been making remarkable progress in economic growth and technologic innovation.However,China also faces challenges in environment protection,saving energy,alleviating traffic congestion,etc.China’s government has been attaching great importance to sharing economy,NEVs and NEV charging piles and put them into its annual official report in 2016 as part of China’s strategic matters.Accordingly,there are an increasing number of enterprises coming into being,who take NEV sharing platforms or charging pile sharing platforms as their major business.Therefore,researches on business models of these emerging businesses could provide stakeholders and policy makers with industrial insight and facilitate their decision making.What is chosen as objects of study are four types of research-value-riched unilateral/multilateral platforms in terms of NEVs and charging piles.The four types of platforms are contrasted with each other in two groups based on data collected from official websites,renowned media,phone-call interviews,etc.The research conclusions include contrast results,mid/short term projection and policy suggestion,which could be summarized as follows:1.The business model of NEV car-sharing multilateral platform prevails over the business model of NEV car-sharing unilateral platform.The former one better exploits business potential of a platform.2.The business model of NEV car-sharing unilateral platform could improve in terms of enlarging user amount,optimize asset structure,etc.,whereas The business model of NEV car-sharing multilateral platform could improve in terms of geographical expansion and adding new services.Both of them may launch cooperation with private charging pile sharing platform in the future.3.Policy makers may consider helping NEV car-sharing unilateral platforms reduce costs and increase revenues.They may put NEV car-sharing multilateral platforms into consideration as these platforms promote NEV use despite that they are usually regarded as Internet-based companies.4.The business model of closed charging pile sharing platform and the business model of semi-open charging pile sharing platform have their own merits respectively.5.For the business model of closed charging pile sharing platform and the business model of semi-open charging pile sharing platform,both of them may diversify their business structure and revenue sources,and develop cooperation with NEV car-sharing businesses.6.The authority may push forward sharing private charging plies via allowance,model setting up,etc.In the future,the authority may consider issuing certain regulation or guidance to help the rise of open charging pile sharing platforms.The innovative point of this paper is that four emerging business models are studied from a new dimension,which is a pioneer attempt in the field of NEV study and business model study. |
