| With the rapid development of the economy,the construction of China’s metropolitanarea has also achieved world-renowned achievements.At the same time,with the gradual evolution and expansion of urban space in the metropolitan area,the new urban area of the metropolis has gradually become the main growth point of the development of the metropolitan area.Studying the development mode and characteristics of the new city space from the metropolitan area is conducive to correctly grasping the objective laws of the regional space and the evolution of the new city space,thus providing a scientific basis for the benign development of the metropolitan regional space and the planning and guidance of the metropolitan new city space.Based on the background of residence-employment,the author conducts empirical research on Wuxi new city region from the perspective of residence-employment,and analyzes the development characteristics,living space and employment space and organizational characteristics of the new technology city from different perspectives of macro,meso and micro.In order to further explore the main influencing factors and coordination mechanism of the balanced development of residential and employment space in the new urban area of the big city,in order to provide an objective basis for the benign development of the new urban area of China.First of all,the paper summarizes the relevant literatures on the development and construction of metropolitan circles at home and abroad,the theory and practice of new urban areas,and the measurement of the balance of occupational space,the research framework for the coordinated development of residential and employment space in the new urban areas of China’s big cities under the background of metropolitan areas is established.Then,the paper systematically studies the development of the two metropolitan areas of Nanjing,Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area in the southern part of Jiangsu and the development characteristics of the four major cities in Nanjing,Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou.Through comparative analysis,the development characteristics of the new urban area in the big city under different spatial development modes are discussed.Secondly,the paper quantitatively analyzes the overall development characteristics of the residential-employment space in Wuxi new city region by measuring the residential-employment deviation index of Wuxi City’s administrative divisions and the total occupancy of the science and technology new city region.After that,the paper takes Wuxi Science and Technology New City-Meicun Area as the research object,through field research and systematic analysis of the survey data,and discovers the organizational characteristics of the residential-employment space.On this basis,the comprehensive commuting factor is taken as the measurement object.This paper quantitatively studies the matching degree of residence-employment space in Meicun area,and discusses the internal structure matching characteristics of the residential-employment space in Meicun area.Finally,the article analyzes the dynamic mechanism of the development of new urban areas in big cities from the background of metropolitan area;and through the comparative study with Nanjing Jiangbei vice city,it systematically summarizes the main factors affecting the balance of residential-employment space in the new urban areas of big cities;Then from the four aspects of regional spatial balance,residential employment space matching,public facilities coordination,and commuting traffic balance development,the coordinated development model of the balanced development of residential-employment space in the new urban area of the metropolitan area is summarized. |
