Life Cycle Economic Analysis Of NEZB Technical Strategies For Office Building In Yangtze River Delta

The concept of Net zero energy buildings(NZEB)has been considered as a potential mean to achieve substantial energy and emissions reduction.Numerous construction projects have witnessed the technical feasibility of NZEB.However,the economic feasibility of NZEB needs to be proved.The function of buildings,the local climatic and economic condition will directly affect the technical strategy design and economic performance of NZEB.As for representative office buildings in Yangtze River Delta(YRD),what's the economic optimal solution for NZEB? Is it economically feasible?To answer these questions,the following research has been conducted.Firstly,a prototype building which can represent the representative design of office buildings in the YRD has been developed.Then,seven types of technology which have been widely used in NZEBs have been summarized and applied to the prototype building.After that,a method which can develop holistic NZEB technical strategies and analyze their economic performance has been proposed.Finally,based on the method,54 holistic NZEB technical strategies have been developed and their energy and economic performance have been evaluated.The results show that if the prototype building can only rely on its own surface for PV power generation to cover the energy demand to achieve the NZEB target,it is not economically feasible;however,if there are rented roofs of other on-site buildings can be utilized by the prototype building for PV power generation to achieve the NZEB target,all the above holistic strategies are economically feasible.Among them,the economically optimal holistic NZEB technical strategy can generate a net present value of 6.56 million yuan and recover its incremental costs within 28 years.This research has revealed single technologies and holistic technical strategies which are applicable to office buildings in the YRD,and deepened the understanding of the economic feasibility of NZEB office buildings in the region.At the same time,the established method for developing holistic NZEB technical strategies and analyzing their economic performance has certain universality,and can be applied to NZEB design and economic analysis for buildings of other types or in other regions.Word: 53000 Drawing: 37 Table: 27...
