Research On The Distribution Of Urban Landmarks Based On Spatial Factors

Urban landmarks are very important to the improvement of cityscape.In the face of the disorder tendency of landmark construction in the rapid expansion of cities,it is more important to study the distribution of urban landmarks.In this paper,Nanjing urban space and landmarks as the core research object.Based on the literature review and map records,the urban spatial factors affecting the distribution of landmarks are selected.Through the network data,80 representative urban landmarks in Nanjing were selected as the research samples.Relying on the platform of Geographic Information System,this paper describes the phenomena and analyses the spatial location relationship between landmarks and various spatial factors.Starting from the spatial form of factors and the functional types of landmarks,this paper summarizes the distribution characteristics of six specific types of urban landmarks related to landmarks,roads,river systems and open space.The research results are verified in Taizhou,proving the universality and practical value of the research results.The research transforms the real urban space into abstract structure by using spatial factors as media,and transforms the research on the distribution of landmarks into the relative position relationship between landmarks and urban space factors.By means of spatial quantification and data visualization,the specific characteristics of landmark distribution are explored and analyzed,which is conducive to deepening the theoretical research in the related fields of landmarks and guiding the actual planning work.
