With the continuous expansion of the basic business of contemporary water conservancy projects,the traditional technology cannot fully and clearly express the parameters of the building,which leads to unclear expression of the designer’s intention,difficult for other project participants to understand,and may bring design mistakes,repeated revisions to the design plan,large amounts of calculation and low efficiency have hindered the development of hydropower engineering construction.The combined use of BIM technology and structured analysis software has the three-dimensional design ability to solve the above problems,so it has received extensive attention.In order to meet the requirements of the industry and improve the design efficiency and quality,this paper proposes a parametric design method of gravity dam CAD / CAE integration based on BIM Technology.In this method,parametric modeling is used;model information and structure analysis software are seamlessly linked;the command flow is automatically analyzed with one click.The calculation result corresponds to the design plan,and the global linkage is modified in one place,and the CAD/CAE forms a loop until the design requirements are met,and the design task of the gravity dam is realized efficiently and quickly.The main contents of this article are:(1)Divide the model objects based on the design process and characteristics of the gravity dam,and the CATIA software and Civil 3D software are used to parametrically model the gravity dam,the design templates for each key section of the gravity dam are generated,and the gravity dam parameterized design template library is systematically established.To compare and analyze the two modeling software,choose CATIA as the 3D modeling software of this article.In this paper,CATIA is taken as an example to realize the combined application of 3D modeling software and finite element software.(2)The three-dimensional BIM model is seamlessly connected to ANSYS for structural stability and stress analysis.According to the results,the safety evaluation is carried out and the corresponding modification plan is proposed.The loop runs until it meets the design requirements.(3)Take a concrete gravity dam retaining dam section as an example to design the gravity dam parametrically,establish a three-dimensional BIM model,carry out stability against sliding and stress analysis,and automatically adjust the BIM model according to the calculation results until the stability and stress meet the specification requirements.The application results of engineering examples show that the parametric design method proposed in this paper can not only realize the visualization of the three-dimensional design and make the model more intuitive,but also the parametric concept throughout the design makes the modification of the design scheme faster and more convenient.At the same time,the powerful structural analysis function of ANSYS also makes the design scheme is more reliable,and it is easy to inspire a more optimized scheme,basically achieving the purpose of making the gravity dam design more intelligent,refined,and visual,which greatly improves the design quality and work efficiency.
