With the rapid development of China's society and economy,the urbanization has been greatly improved,and new urban communities are constantly emerging.In order to meet the educational needs of community families,the government should build more kindergartens.Following the global wave of community-based preschool education,preschool education has become an important part of community education.The growth of community preschool education in China paints a bright future for the reform and development of preschool education.A community kindergarten is an important place to meet the children's needs for learning,living,playing and growing in the community.The education in the kindergarten not only affects the growth of children's whole life,but also affects the future of every family and even a country.Therefore,the environment of a kindergarten is especially important.This paper takes the interior and exterior environment design of community kindergartens as the research object.Firstly,based on the theory of modern preschool education and field research,this paper studies the characteristics and existing problems of the environmental design of urban community kindergartens in China.Secondly,based on children's physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the design of interior and exterior environment of community kindergartens and summarizes children's needs for space environment.Thirdly,according to the general principle of interior and exterior environment design and the characteristics and design elements of community kindergartens,the strategy of guiding the design of interior and exterior environment of kindergartens is put forward.Finally,the above research results are demonstrated by taking an interior and exterior environment design project of a community kindergarten in Yancheng as an example.The paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter analyzes the status quo,development history and characteristics of community preschool education at home and abroad.Through the investigation,it summarizes the current domestic kindergarten space environment design common problems.The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of children's physical,psychological and sensory perception,and summarizes children's needs for space and the design principles followed in space design.On the other hand,it analyzes the influence on the environmental design of community kindergartens from the aspects of educational concept,preschool education marketization and communitization.It summarizes the problems that should be paid attention to in the environmental design of community kindergartens.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of community kindergartens in China.Based on the theory of modern preschool education,it puts forward design strategy for the community kindergarten teaching space,characteristic space,interior and exterior communication space,building physical environment and other aspects.The fourth chapter takes the interior and exterior environment design of Hengdadijing community kindergarten in Yancheng as an example,discusses the application of environmental design strategy of community kindergartens.The fifth chapter summarizes the research conclusion and points out the future research direction.
