High-piled wharf is suitable for various geological types. It has many advantages, and it has been widely used in port construction in China for decades. At present, the research on ship impact mainly focuses on ship impact force and its influencing factors, while the research production on damage prediction under dynamic action are too less.In this paper, the damage prediction of high-piled wharf under accidental impact is studied. The characteristic of ship collision is that its duration is short, but the damage is extremely serious.Under the impact, the ship and rubber fender of high-piled wharf will contact, squeeze and break away. The mechanism of concrete damage and the interaction between ship and wharf structure, wharf structure and soil are complex, which are the difficulties and key points of this paper.Firstly,a three-dimensional finite element model of ship impacting on high-piled wharf is established to simulate a collision process.Based on the experience and calculation results, the damage location of wharf is obtained by using the “Guo-Wang” concrete failure criterion, and the mechanism of damage is compared and analyzed.Based on this model, the response of high-piled wharf under impact is analyzed, and the effects of ship impact velocity, displacement and impact angle,as well as the strength grade of beam, pile concrete and rubber fender on the damage results are studied by the method of single factor analysis.According to the research results of this paper, when high-piled wharf is impacted by a ship, the damaged parts mainly concentrate at the top of vertical piles and batter piles;speed and tonnage of ship have great influence on the stress of damaged elements;structural concrete strength grade has little influence on stress, but has great influence on the compressive(tensile)capacity of concrete;Rubber fender and ship impact angle has little influence on the damage. The research results of this paper can provide reference for the design of high-piled wharf with high risk of ship impact.
