The Measurement And Sources Of Technical Efficiency In Tianjin Equipment Manufacturing Industry

Tianjin is the birthplace of China's modern national industry.With a brilliant industrial development history,Tianjin has played a leading role in the industrial development of China.Equipment manufacturing industry has been developed for nearly a hundred years.In the beijing-tianjin-hebei coordinated development strategy,Tianjin is clearly positioned as the national advanced manufacturing research and development base and the pilot zone of reform and opening up,which is responsible for the economic development of the whole bohai rim and even the northern region.As the driving force of Tianjin's economic development,the development level of equipment manufacturing industry not only affects the economy of Tianjin but also radiates to other regions,thus affecting the strength of regional national economy.However,the equipment manufacturing industry in Tianjin is trapped by the problems of relying on the import of core technologies and backward product capacity,which affect the further development of the industry.Boosting the equipment manufacturing industry is crucial to promoting the transformation of the industrial structure in Tianjin and driving sustained economic growth.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the technical efficiency of Tianjin equipment manufacturing industry.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter expounds the research background and significance,and then puts forward the research contents and methods.In the second chapter,the research results of technical efficiency are sorted out and summarized through literature research,and the connotation of technical efficiency in equipment manufacturing industry is analyzed on the basis of the theory of production frontier and the measurement method and mechanism of technical efficiency.The third chapter summarizes the current situation and problems of Tianjin equipment manufacturing industry and technology development.The fourth chapter analyzes the factors affecting the technical efficiency of Tianjin equipment manufacturing industry from three aspects and puts forward corresponding hypotheses.In the fifth chapter,using the industry panel data from 2002 to 2016 calculates the technical efficiency of the industry in different time periods by using the complementary analysis method and the stochastic frontier analysis method,and makes an empirical analysis of the three factors affecting the technical efficiency.The empirical results show that the overall level of technical efficiency in the equipment manufacturing industry in Tianjin is low.There is still a large room for improvement.Besises,the development of technical efficiency among various sub-industries is divided into segments and unbalanced.The sixth chapter summarizes the research conclusion and puts forward some policy suggestions.In order to improve the technical efficiency of the equipment manufacturing industry in Tianjin,this paper proposes to reasonably adjust the proportion of state-owned property rights in the development process,promotes enterprises to expand the production scale and determines a reasonable business model,vigorously promotes the integration of the development of producer services and information technology,and promotes the equipment manufacturing industry in Tianjin to the high end.
