| The full life cycle of construction engineering involves a large number of stakeholders, and engineering activities in each life cycle stage have complex environmental, economic, and social impacts on stakeholders.Usually people only pay attention to the economic benefits and negative environmental impacts of construction activities, but not enough attention to their social impacts,so it is easy to cause various social problems and negatively affect the prosperity and development of society. Therefore, the assessment of the social sustainability of construction projects is crucial to the sustainable development of the construction industry. In order to make up for the lack of social dimension in the study of the sustainability of construction engineering, this paper researches and analyzes the social impact of the acquisition of construction materials and the construction stage based on the S-LCA(Social Life Cycle Assessment)theory and technology framework. The related work is as follows:(1)An analysis model of the social impact assessment of the construction project life cycle has been established, and the social impact assessment indicator systems of the building material acquisition stage and the on-site construction stage have been established. For each impact sub-category,a corresponding characteristic indicator is selected, and then standardized methods and calculation models for the corresponding indicators at different stages are given.Secondly, through the questionnaire designed based on the analytic hierarchy process, the weight coefficients of 24 influence sub-categories were generated.(2)Apply the evaluation model to specific engineering cases in Xining. Two buildings with different structural forms were selected.Project A is a cast-in-situ reinforced concrete house, and Project B is a semi-precast steel house. The results show that the overall social performance of Project B is better than Project A.Project A has a better social performance during the acquisition of building materials, and the project’s social performance is significantly better than Project A during the construction phase.(3)Sensitivity analysis is performed on the two sensitivity factors, namely, the source of materials and the weight coefficients that affect the sub-categories during the acquisition of building materials. The results show that when the building materials come from provinces or municipalities with good background data in each sub-category,the social impact score of the project’s building materials acquisition phase will be correspondingly improved, and the materials come from provinces or municipalities with better background data, the ultimate improvement in social performance scores. The sensitivity analysis results for the weight coefficients show that the sub-category weight coefficients of the four stakeholder categories have good stability, and the stability of the stakeholder category weight coefficients in order from good to bad is: society, value chain participants, local communities and workers. |
