Research On The Design Of The Street Of The Old Town Center In Guilin City

Urban streets are not only the space for motor vehicles,but also the space needed for business,life,entertainment,office and other activities for everyone in the city.The problems faced by different cities’ streets are not the same.How to develop streets can better serve local residents and become a problem that every city must consider.This paper takes some streets in the center of the old city of Guilin as the research object.It is hoped that through the combination of theoretical research and practical problems,the street design strategy suitable for Guilin City will be proposed to improve the safety of the street,increase the vitality of the street,and move towards ecology and wisdom.The direction of the street is developing.This paper summarizes five research methods through literature research,classification research,field research,big data research,and analysis.The paper proposes to ask questions,analyze problems,and solve problems.First of all,this paper collects and researches the research on the theory and development direction of the street.Based on the security,sustainable development,multi-modal street and the Guilin International Tourism Resort Construction Development Outline,it points out the current situation by combing the relevant information of domestic and foreign streets.The development of urban streets in Guilin is lacking.Then through the analysis of the street,the difference between street and road is analyzed,and the characteristics of different stages of the street are summarized from the development of domestic and foreign urban streets,so that this paper can fully understand the origin of the street and the functions and streets of the street in each historical stage.For the meaning of the city,and provide the direction for the actual research work in this article.Then the paper combines the relevant theory and practice of street research and the evolution of domestic and foreign streets,and summarizes the classification and constituent elements of the street used in the paper.Through the two-dimensional classification of the research street according to road grade and street building functions and activities,the backbone will be Roads,secondary roads,and branch roads are combined with commercial,living services,landscape leisure,traffic,and comprehensive streets.The current situation of the streets of Guilin Old Town Center is summarized.For example,the space of the sidewalk is chaotic,and the public transportation direction is not clear.Space does not have to consider special users,lack of vitality in the streets,inadequate application of ecological infrastructure,and insufficient construction of ecological and smart streets Finally,the author puts forward the principle of street design suitable for Guilin Old Town Center Group,and designs the street with safety,ecology,vitality and wisdom.,The design of different types of streets in the old city center of Guilin is proposed.
