A Research Of The Method Of Planning And Design Of Updated Street In XI'AN

The three decades after the reform and open policy of China,Chinese city construction had a great development.Whether because the variety of city's facilities be ruined by time, the improvement of people's standred of living casued the increased request of the space,or the government officers had not satisfied with the city image. All of this remind us that the city in today need to be updated. Our ancient city of Xi'an,is also up against the issue of renewal and reform after its existence and development for thousands of years.In 2008 Xi'an government prsent a deployment,that's using three years to carry out the activities of enhance the city's construction and management contiguously.This image enhancement is focus on the renovate of the street,and make a full range enhancemnet of the 39 mainly streets'image of Xi'an city.This kind of policy give us a turning point to face up the city's renewal from the point of view of street.The street is the mainly outer space of the city,it's also the most frequently used public space of the urben residents.The street renewal is the important part of that of the city,and the street renewal theory is also an important part of the urban renewal theory. With the formation and development of the city,because of many historical and social reasons,there came forth the street called update-street.it had a aged substance,jamed traffic, lack of sprit and desiderated to be renewaled.This article is based on the aggregate planning of a three street which workout by BEIDOU studio of Xi'AN University of Architecture and Technology,and try to find out a systemic way of planning and design to direct the street renewal which under the background of new times and areas.The city is a etheric body,and street renewal is a normal metabolism of the body in its growth process,but by no means of performing a operation for re-amputation or organ transplants.In the face of the update street which have a more complex background than the ordinary street,We need use more systematism and multi-thinking way, to discover and indepth look on the problems casued by the update-street from the point view of cultural,humanistic,ecological,and ethical. The update design of street is the common tast of the urban planners, architects and landscape planners,it need synergistical design.The core of this article is begin from the case of renovation and planning of the three street which is XianNing Road,KangLe Road,and QinGong Road in the new town of Xi'AN city.To sum up the existed problems of the update-street which under the particular geographic background of XI'AN city from the problems existed in the case of this three street. And assort the reformted factor of update-street from six ways which is street function,structure layout,street space,facing street building,kerbside installation and viatic traffic.To discuss the methods of planning and design of the street renewal from the three aspects of qualitative and quantitative.Finally,according to the practice of XianNing Road's renovation and planning,this article farther verify the methods of planning and design for update-street by empirical way.
