With the acceleration of urbanization,motor vehicle travel is becoming more and more popular.Problems such as greenhouse effect,air pollution,degradation of pedestrian space,displacement of pedestrian space by motor vehicles and lack of sense of belonging in residential areas are becoming increasingly prominent.The construction of a high level walkable city is an important measure to build an environmentally friendly city,protect residents’ health and maintain social and environmental justice.In this paper,the effect of environment greening and terrain of walking environment in the influencing factors of walking space is taken into account,and a modified walking index model is adopted to study the walkability level of Beijige.The research contents are mainly divided into two parts: walkability analysis of Beijige based on walking index model and area optimization Suggestions based on the analysis results.The diversity and accessibility of daily life service facilities is an important basis for measuring the walkability level of a region.In this paper,through studying typical literature,suitable types of daily service facilities are selected,and the classification table of suitable daily service facilities is determined based on field investigation.Baidu POI information of daily service facilities within the scope of the study was retrieved,and a field survey was conducted to determine 16 daily service facilities in total.The number of daily service facility users was obtained through investigation,and the weight of facility demand was determined accordingly.Questionnaire survey was used to obtain the respondents’ tolerance time and preference for different daily service facilities,and the user characteristics were obtained.In terms of walking tolerance time,Chinese and western restaurants,commercial facilities,cultural entertainment,coffee and tea respondents had the longest average tolerance time,and education institutions,public transportation and other daily service facilities had the highest frequency.International general correction coefficient is adopted to modify the calculated results of basic walking index,and the calculated results of walking index are obtained and verified.The results of walking index were consistent with the actual situation of the study area.The results show that the overall walkability is higher and the regional walkability is different.In some areas,the balance of daily service facilities and functional mix need to be further improved.Using green vision rate and terrain as walking evaluation factors,the walking index evaluation system was established based on the walking index calculation model,and the walking ability of the study area was scored.The results of walkability scores in the study area were analyzed.Design Suggestions are put forward to improve walkability of the study area,such as guaranteeing the integrity of pedestrian space,optimizing the layout of daily service facilities,and improving the quality of pedestrian space environment. |
